2000 GUINEAS 1848

The 40th winner of the 2000 Guineas, held on Tuesday 23rd April 1848 over the Rowley Mile, was Flatcatcher (4/1), a bay colt by Touchstone out of Decoy, owned by Mr B Green. The winner won by a neck, with a length between second and third. A field of 5 runners contested the race which was worth £1,450 (Equivalent to £138,800 in 2017)
